Danielle Kuntz is a harpist with a mission to help composers, harpists, and audiences experience new music for the harp. As a harp notation coach, she has mentored dozens of composers through workshops, university residencies, and individual coaching sessions. She has also commissioned, co-commissioned, and/or premiered over 40 new compositions since 2017.
Danielle is also an active solo, chamber, and orchestral performer in the Midwest and beyond. Recent engagements include the American Harp Society Summer Institute, the Butler Symphony Orchestra, the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, New Music Chicago ImpromptuFest, and artist residencies with SUNY Fredonia, University of North Texas, and Tennessee Tech University (upcoming). Danielle also teaches students of all ages at her studio in Pittsburgh and via Zoom with a focus on functional technique, music theory, and harp literature.
Danielle holds a Masters of Music in Harp Performance from the University of North Texas and is currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
